Sixteen Candles Mentor Group
Building High Civility in Black Girls ages 12-16











The Sixteen Candles Mentor Program was founded on February 26, 2019. It is dedicated to exposing Black young ladies between the ages of 12 and 16 to activities that embody the highest standards of civility."
The Sixteen Candles Mentor Program is a cultural refinement and etiquette-based initiative designed to inspire and empower Black young ladies through engaging workshops, immersive experiences, and community service. The program nurtures leadership, self-awareness, sisterhood, and confidence. From learning how to set a formal table to from various cultures, understanding financial literacy and exploring Black excellence in entrepreneurship, and high civilization outings, mentees are lovingly guided to embrace grace and dignity in every area of their lives.
The Motto
“Our Community Comes First”
This motto instills a sense of pride, unity, and love for the Black community in every member.
The Colors
Lavender and Gold
These colors symbolize grace, excellence, and royalty — a reflection of the dignity and brilliance within our community.
The Mascot
Swan
Elegant and poised, the swan represents transformation, resilience, and inner beauty.
Titles
Mentees are respectfully referred to as "Your Ladyships," reinforcing grace, refinement, and self-worth in every interaction.









MENTEE SOCIAL GRACE COURSES
In addition to the courses listed below, Mentees will enjoy waltz lessons, a night at the opera or ballet, golfing, and other activities of high civilization, such as posture and penmanship.
